Yarona Ben-Shalom

Yarona Ben-Shalom has over 15 years experience in community and nonprofit development, having worked in a range of government and NGO contexts. She has her bachelor’s degree in social work from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics in social and organizational psychology.

Yarona worked many years for JDC-Israel, developing programs to strength social services. Yarona has served as co-director of Shatil in the south of Israel, developing a variety programs for the Bedouin community in collaboration with a diverse array of organizations. Yarona is the founder of Simpact, a social business initiative strengthening organizations, developing partnerships, and promoting sustainable social, economic, and environmental infrastructure.
